Country : : The Cotes-du-Rhone regional appellation extends
along both banks of the Rhone river from Vienne to Avignon,
the Appellation is situated across 163 villages and 6 "departements".
The vineyards cover a total of 32 000 hectares under a mediterranean
climate. The vineyards of the Cotes-du-Rhone are planted on
the hillsides overlooking the majestic river valley.
Grape Variety : : Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Syrah.
Grenache represents at least 40% of the blend. Then,
the other varietals are used in different proportions
to get an harmonious result. Cinsault gives finesse,
Syrah fruity and spicy notes whereas Carignan helps balance
the whole thing.
Tasting Notes
Color : Bright, shiny red with purple highlights.
Nose : Discreet notes of red berries on a lightly smoked background.
Mouth : : Well balanced with a simple structure. Long and
fruity finish with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and violet.
Service : The Cotes-du-Rhone is a welcoming wine, as warm as
the southern climate. We advise you to try it with cold cuts,
roasted or grilled meats, cheses, or even chicken on the spit.
